Shema'yah Bey is a storyteller and creative architect whose work brings together mythology, music, theatre, speculative storytelling and emerging media to build original worlds.

His stories explore ancestry, identity, memory, spirituality and the evolving relationship between culture and community. Rather than treating theatre, film, literature and digital media as separate disciplines, Bey develops stories as worlds capable of moving across forms—from the stage to vertical cinema and beyond.

Bey is also developing AfroMysticism, a signature storytelling genre that blends cultural memory, ancestral mystery, spiritual suspense, psychological thriller, indigenous American and contemporary Black-centered storytelling to explore what happens when the unseen collides with everyday life.

As a Systems Architect for Ninth Ether Studios, Inc., he helps design the creative systems through which original intellectual property is developed across theatre, literature, film and emerging media. As a Storyteller for ReelEther, he creates and develops vertical micro-dramas designed for mobile-first audiences.

His works include the musical Juke: An American Musical, the theatrical work ASE: The Ninth Ether, and the literary series The Ritual, alongside an expanding slate of original story worlds.
